In conjunction with Parsons Brinckerhoff, CD+P professionals were engaged by Government to undertake a comprehensive structure planning exercise for the States next major industrial area the 1300ha Nambeelup precinct located just to the north of Pinjarra in the Shire on Murray.
The structure planning addressed a multitude of challenges including determining buffers for existing wetlands, floodways, noxious industries and an airfield, forecasting industrial lot demand, providing a variety lot product, overcoming servicing constraints (especially drainage) and the need to cater for the diverse requirements of key stakeholders.
The key to the successful production of the final draft document was the extensive collaboration undertaken by the project team from the outset with all stakeholders and landowners. The firm has been recently engaged by a private developer to examine opportunities for strategic acquisitions within the study area leading to the need for localised structure planning and subdivision.
