The Belmont Park Racecourse Redevelopment will convert the under utilised northern portion of the peninsula into an exciting, world class, mixed use Activity Centre.
The project will deliver an international standard racecourse, medium to high density residential, commercial and retail, entertainment and civic spaces.
Key planning tasks undertaken culminated in an approved structure plan catering for:
Retention and upgrading of current thoroughbred racing facilities
High rise and medium density housing with some 4,500 residential dwellings
A significant Activity Centre comprising mixed use, retail and commercial uses, office and tourism
Public Marina
Hotel
Riverfront parks and recreation facilities
The Belmont Park Racecourse redevelopment project will make a significant contribution towards the revitalisation of the eastern gateway to the City of Perth.
